Privacy Policy

Engrew Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) builds AI-driven systems, automation, and scalable infrastructure — both our own products and custom work for clients. This policy explains what information we collect through our website at https://www.engrewlabs.org, how we use it, and what choices you have. We’ve kept it short and plainly written on purpose.

Information we collect

We collect very little. Our website has no accounts and no contact forms.

• Usage and device information. When you visit our site, our analytics provider automatically collects standard technical information: your approximate location (city or country level), browser and device type, operating system, the page that referred you, which pages you viewed, and how long you stayed.
• Information you send us. If you email us at team@engrewlabs.org — about a project, a job opening, or anything else — we receive whatever you choose to include, such as your name, email address, and the contents of your message. Attachments like resumes fall into this category.
• Phone and mobile numbers. We only have your number if you give it to us, for example by including it in an email or sharing it during a conversation about a project or role. We do not collect phone numbers automatically.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• operate, maintain, and improve our website and products;
• understand, in aggregate, which pages and content people find useful;
• respond to your emails and inquiries, including hiring and business discussions;
• send you information you’ve asked for, or that relates to work we’re doing together;
• protect our site and users against fraud, abuse, and security problems;
• meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

We do not use your information to build advertising profiles.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Otherwise, we share information only in these limited situations:

• Service providers. We rely on a small number of vendors to run our business — website analytics, email hosting, and the third-party platform that hosts our job listings. They may process information on our behalf and are permitted to use it only to provide services to us.
• Legal reasons. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the safety of others.
• Business transfers. If Engrew Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our site is used. It sets cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish visitors and measure traffic. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely by installing Google’s opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Data retention

We keep analytics data only for as long as our analytics provider’s retention settings allow. We keep email correspondence for as long as it’s needed for the purpose you sent it — an active project or hiring conversation, for instance — plus a reasonable period afterward, and then delete it. If you ask us to delete your information, we will, unless we’re legally required to keep it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections across our website and access controls on our accounts and systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Email us at team@engrewlabs.org at any time to ask us to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct anything that’s wrong or out of date;
• delete your information.

We’ll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

If you ever receive text messages from us, you can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving them, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Email us and we’ll honor them.

Children’s privacy

Our website and products are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we’ll delete it.

Third-party links

Our site links out to other places — our GitHub, Hugging Face, X, LinkedIn, and Discord pages, our job listings hosted on Notion, and products we’ve worked on. Once you follow one of those links you’re on someone else’s site, governed by their privacy policy rather than ours. We’re not responsible for their content or practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last updated” date above. If the changes are significant, we’ll note them more visibly on the site.
